Fans of “12 Gauge” Paige will have to wait a little longer for her return.
Announcing last week that she had indeed suffered another unfortunate injury, it hasn’t been the most glorious past year for VanZant. Taking to social media on Wednesday, she said the injury will keep her out of action for at least 4-6 weeks.
Speaking on her Instagram story PVZ explained the situation to fans:
”it’s just a fracture right at the site of my screw.. My arm is still crazy swollen, so were just waiting for the swelling to go down”
”We’re going to x-ray it in a month, and I think I will be good to go. What that means is I have to take a month off from contact. After that month is over I can sign a fight contract and get right into a fight camp.”
The initial injury occurred back at UFC Fight Night 124 against Jessica Rose-Clark but after VanZants’ first lot of surgery was unsuccessful, she had a second surgery which took bone fragments out of her hip, which in time would help the arm heal.
VanZant did return to action against Rachael Ostovich winning Via armbar back in January at UFC on ESPN+ 1 and was recently linked to fight Poliana Bothelo at UFC 236.
Were hoping and wishing a speedy recovery to 12 guage, and look forward to her octagon return!
