UFC 239: JDS vs Francis Ngannou announced

After the sensational blood offerings from the last few weeks in the UFC, the MMA Gods have been appeased. MMA fans have been treated, as former heavyweight champion Junior ‘Cigano’ Dos Santos faces the ever frightening Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou, as first reported by Ariel Helwani via Twitter. The bout is scheduled to take place on July 6th in Las Vegas for UFC 239. Adding heavyweight action to the card headlined by Jon Jones vs Thiago Santos.

With three wins in a massive 2018, Cigano has been on a tear through the heavyweight division. In that time JDS knocked out Tuivasa, Lewis and took Ivanov to a decision, silencing his critics along the way. The former champion has proved that he’s still capable of competing at the highest level in the UFCs hardest hitting division. Ranked third in the heavyweight division, this upcoming fight for JDS is without a doubt his toughest test in recent years.

Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou has returned to his destructive form with a devastating knockout of Curtis Blaydes. He also defeated Cain Velasquez with a controversial finish of Cain Velasquez in addition with knockouts over Overeem and Arlovski.

With huge title contender implications for the two top five ranked fighters, both will definitely be giving it their all. UFC 239 on July 6th in Las Vegas is shaping up to be an unmissable 2019 card. Regardless of the outcome, it’s the fans who will be the real winners of this one!
