PFL has finally revealed its first three shows for the launch of 2019’s Season 2. All three of the first events will take place at the Nassau Coliseum, New York.
Speaking via press release, Professional Fighters League President of Fighter Operations Ray Sefo gave us some insight into the first three events:
“Every fighter on our roster enters the regular season knowing that if they win, and score maximum points, they will enter the postseason with a chance to compete for a PFL Championship and $1 million.”
“The journey begins at PFL 1, 2 and 3. These are tone-setting fights and fans will see quality, action-packed matchups featuring the best fighters across six weight divisions from over 14 countries around the world.”
PFL 1 will see the female Lightweight tournament begin as Kayla Harrison takes on Svetlana Khautova. Sarah Kaufman will also face Morgan Frier as the season starts on May 9th.
May 23rd will see the featherweights in action as Champion Lance Palmer looks set to defend his title and yet again win the $1 million.
June 6th, defending Heavyweight champion Phillipe Lins faces Japanese Satoshii Ishi and undefeated former UFC prospect Jordan Johnson faces Maxim Grishin.
