The all-but-official middleweight title fight between champions Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya has garnered much hyped amongst fans in the weeks of its’ announcement. The two have exchanged some words, but nothing too extreme. Jon Jones, the highly controversial light-heavyweight champion, has also shared his thoughts on Adesanya. It seems that Jones is on Team Whittaker leading up to this fight.

Jones was recently on ESPN’s Now or Never, where he was asked about his general thoughts on Whittaker. ‘Bones’ answered, “[He’s the] real deal. Nothing but respect for him. He’s a standup guy. I can’t wait for him to stomp a mudhole through Adesanya.”

Whittaker replied to Jones’ nice words saying, “Nothing but respect mate!”

Jones offered to help Whittaker with preparation for his fight with Israel Adesanya. The two share a similar unorthodox fighting-style. Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson recruited Adesanya as a training partner for his fight with Jon Jones.
