It’s official, fight fans!
Just before the beginning of the highly anticipated UFC 242 card, Brett Okamoto broke the news that welterweight contenders Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz would be HEADLINING the UFC’s return to Madison Square Garden on November 2nd.
If that news hadn’t already sent fans into a spiral of chaotic excitement, Okamoto added that, per the request of fans, Dana White would be designing a special ‘BMF‘ title belt for the winner. In addition, there will be no other title fights on the card.
Diaz first expressed his desire to fight ‘Gamebred‘ following his win against Anthony Pettis at UFC 241. He complimented Masvidal’s recent performance against Ben Askren, where he set the record for the fastest KO in the company’s history. Since that night, fans have been clambering for a matchup between ‘Cuban Jesus‘ and the ‘West-Coast Gangster‘.
