Katy Collins passed away on Wednesday in Branson, Missouri, after suffering a brain aneurysm.
She started her professional career in 2015 last fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance in June of 2018. Collins fought out of the Branson Fight Club.
In an emotional post her coach, JT Tilley wrote:
“The fight is over. You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the cards, I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live your dream with you. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.”
Collins amassed a 7-5 record on the pro circuit and fought for various promotions along the way; LFA, Bellator, and the RFA.
As testament to her character Katy fought on as best she could. Her coach posted this on Saturday when word has spread that Katy had been hospitalized:
Katy is survived by her two sons.
