For the second time in under a year, UFC megastar Conor McGregor is being investigated in relation to a sexual assault in his native Ireland.
Per The New York Times, the former champion is currently linked to a sexual assault case in Dublin and is being investigated by the Garda. The alleged incident took place in a vehicle outside of a Dublin pub, between the accused fighter and an unnamed woman. McGregor’s publicist denied the allegations in an email to The Times.
“Conor McGregor is frequently the subject of rumors,” opened the publicist. “He emphatically denies any report accusing him of sexual assault.”
In December of 2018, McGregor was accused of a similar action. In January, he was arrested & questioned, regarding a sexual assault in a hotel in Dublin. The Irishman was released without charge.
McGregor has faced a slue of legal troubles between 2018 and the present. Memorably, ‘The Notorious‘ was arrested and charged with criminal mischief for his attack on a UFC bus. He was once again arrested in the spring of 2019, for assaulting a phone and stealing his phone outside of a Miami nightclub. Most recently and well-known, McGregor attacked an elderly man in a pub, following a dispute of the fighter’s whiskey.
