It looks like a comeback might be on the table for Stockton’s first son.
UFC staple Nick Diaz has remained at the forefront of MMA, despite not fighting for almost 5 years. Following his brother’s failed attempt to capture the BMF title at UFC 244, it would appear that he would like a shot to avenge his brother.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Diaz said, “It’s not on me. You wanna talk about baptizing my younger brother, that’s on you. I never had nothing disrespectful to say, but you don’t talk about baptizing my younger brother. So, you’re already in a f*cked up position if you fight with me.”
He continued, “You don’t f*cking talk about baptizing someone’s younger brother. That’s my baby brother, you don’t talk like that to nobody. So, who rides on who’s side?”
Shortly after the highly controversial interview, Diaz posted to Instagram, once again calling for the fight with Masvidal.
As game as ever, Masvidal responded, graciously accepting the fight.
Before Diaz’ interview with Ariel Helwani, ‘Gamebred‘ was expected to face the winner of Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington, who fight for the welterweight title at UFC 245.
