‘The Notorious‘ is officially returning to the Octagon, but this time – at 170lbs.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto recently confirmed that former UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor had signed on for a return fight. The date has been set for January 18th in Las Vegas, as has the opponent. Who will he be facing, you ask? – Donald ‘Cowboy‘ Cerrone.
Cerrone went 2-2 in 2019, after dropping back down to the 155lbs. Now, both men will make their respective returns to welterweight (170lbs).
Fans speculated that, should the fight happen, it would happen at lightweight. It’s set that it will headline UFC 246, officially making Jones vs. Reyes the headliner of UFC 247.
